OCG and IFIP
OCG experts are represented in various Working Groups and Technical Committees (TC) of IFIP (International Federation for Information Processing). Founded in 1960 under the auspices of UNESCO IFIP is recognised by the United Nations and links some 50 national and international computer societies with a total membership of over half a million professionals.
As ICT platform and hub for organisations and institutions that work in research, development, and application of information technology the OCG represent their interests in international bodies. Here you can find a list of active TCs that provided us with reports of 2024:
- TC1 – Foundations of Computer Science (Aart Middeldorp)
- TC2 – Software – Theory and Practice (Stefan Biffl)
- TC3 – Education matters (Gerald Futschek)
- TC5 – Information Technology Applications (Erich Neuhold)
- TC7 – System Modeling and Optimization (Barbara Kaltenbacher)
- TC11 – Security and Privacy Protection in Information Systems (Edgar Weippl)
Thank you to all OCG experts for their valuable work within IFIP.
IFIP also organises conferences like the World Computer Congress and runs the Open Access Digital Library (ODL).
